LanLan

Copyright and removal requests

LanLan, by Plyer Studios, helps people learn Mandarin from short YouTube videos. Every video plays inside YouTube's official embedded player. LanLan doesn't host, download or copy any video, and doesn't claim ownership of any of them: videos belong to their creators and rights holders.

Want your video removed?

If you made a video that appears in LanLan, or you own the rights to it, and you'd rather it wasn't there, email us the YouTube link at plyerstudios@gmail.com. You don't need a formal notice. We usually remove it within 48 hours. We can also remove every video from your channel: just say so.

Formal copyright notice

If you prefer a formal notice (DMCA or EU), send it to plyerstudios@gmail.com with:

  • Your contact details: name, postal address, email and phone number.
  • The work: a description of the copyrighted work you believe is being infringed.
  • Where it is: the YouTube link(s) of the video(s) as they appear in LanLan.
  • Good-faith statement: that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
  • Accuracy statement: that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
  • Your signature: physical or electronic.

Good to know

  • The app updates on its own. Removed videos disappear from the app within about 12 hours, without an app update.
  • The video stays on YouTube. Removing a video from LanLan doesn't remove it from YouTube, where the original upload lives. To have it taken down there, use YouTube's copyright removal process.
  • Removed by mistake? If your video was removed and you'd like it back, email us and we'll restore it.
